More Traffic to Your Site
Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at 07:49PM So you own a website, probably a very nice one, but this does not get you traffic and without traffic your website is worthless. The only way you are going to make money is if you have good, regular traffic. There are many ways of drawing visitors to your site, although to get the traffic free is a very daunting task. However, perhaps the following will help.
You need to write articles and submit them to as many blogs as possible. These blogs will automatically put your links in place and you need not return them once they accept the articles.
Join a few forums and post frequently. Most forums allow you to link your signature to your site. If you pick the bigger Forums like Digital Point, they have so much traffic that these inks are very valuable. Make friends and they will help you by giving suggestions on how to get traffic.
Submitting your site to online directories will give you backlinks. There are hundreds of directories out there, submit to as many as you can. These links are very valuable in raising your search engine Page Rank. The higher the Page Rank of the directory, the more benefit it will give you.
To submit to a lot of directories consider using a submission service as they can do it very quickly whereas it would take you a very long time.
If you can post your views and thoughts on a blog which is relative to your product or service, it will help to improve the ranking on the search engines. Keeping the content fresh and updated also ensures that the search engines can get to your site quicker.
I hope that you find the suggestions above to be useful; at least they are pointing you in the right direction. Always think links, link, links. Take my advice and never pay for traffic, it is nearly all garbage. Buy links or directory submission, but dont buy traffic. If you want to know more, just follow my traffic blog.
